It is understood that West Dunbartonshire Council and Glasgow City Council had agreed that, following an initial full closure over the bank holiday weekend, a contraflow system would be introduced to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction while works continued.

However, councillor Carey has been informed that West Dunbartonshire Council was unable to implement the contraflow arrangement.

Dog fouling on our streets is unacceptable — and reporting it is the only way it can be recorded and acted on.
Not all dog owners are responsible, so if we want cleaner paths, we need to report every incident to Glasgow City Council.

Please see dates The Warm Welcome Cafe is closed.

Just to let everyone know that our Drumchapel Warm Welcome Café in the white church on the corner, next to the 10 o’clock shop will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 16th June, for staff training.
We will also be closed on the 23rd & 30th June.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience and will miss seeing you while we’re away. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon 🥰

What a shame! A poor reflection on the owners of the Shopping Centre! They should have bent over backwards to help keep the Foodfayre open!
We all hope you find premises close to Drumchapel soon and we can start shopping with you again.

It's with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of of our Drumchapel store💔

We want to take this opportunity to thank the Drumchapel community and our loyal customers over the last 35 years and our staff past and present for their hard work over that time.

Our last day was Saturday the 13th June

There's a few reasons behind this difficult decision, but the main one is our lease is finished , and the general cost pressure's of trading in 2026 are extremely difficult.

We are actively looking for an alternative location locally and when we have news you will be the first to know !!
