Drumchapel Housing Co-operative

Drumchapel Housing Co-operative Community Organisation in Drumchapel, Glasgow

Drumchapel Housing Co-operative is a Fully Mutual Housing Co-operative originally set up in January 1988 as Southdeen Housing Co-operative Limited. The Co-operative's Fully Mutual status means that all its tenants are members therefore they have the right to vote and stand for membership of the Management Board. The Management Board is composed of tenants of the Co-operative and Co-optees who over

see the running of the Co-operative. We aim to provide an excellent housing management service, repair and maintain our properties to a high standard in line with targets set by the Scottish Government. We will ensure the long term financial health and viability of the organisation and will drive a greater focus on efficiency and value for money. We have a total of 480 homes for rent which are mainly 3 and 4 storey tenements built in the 1950's and refurbished between 1989 and 1996. We also have a mixture of tenement flats, cottage flats, terraced houses, semi-detached and detached properties built between 1999 and 2005.

The way we communicate with you is changing from 1st July 2026.

Your feedback is very important to us and helps us to improve our services. It can also help us identify trends and highlight areas where we are doing things right as well as areas that need improvement.

As of 1st July 2026, we are moving to a system called CX Feedback. This system has been specifically made for social landlords and gives more options on how we gather feedback about our services. As this system is introduced, you will see some changes to the way we communicate with you.

What does CX Feedback do?
The system enables us to send out surveys via text, email or a phone call so we can listen to your views on different subjects. The system can also text you directly with updates and messages about your local area and things that affect you. We will be able to target this so the information that we send will only be relevant to you and your neighbours.

How will I know that the surveys are from Drumchapel Housing Co-operative?
The surveys will be sent to you directly by email, text or as an incoming call. Other messages will be sent as a text or email. They will have our recognisable branding but if you are concerned that they are not genuine please feel free to email or call us – details below. Texts will show as DrumHC and emails will show as [email protected] but will say Drumchapel Housing at the top of the email and include our logo.

Are my responses anonymous?
Your responses will not be anonymous. This means if you are unhappy with our services we can speak to you about this in more detail if you want. It also means we can use the data being provided to improve services.

What will be the first survey I receive?
The first survey to be sent will be our repairs satisfaction survey. If you have recently had a repair carried out in your home, you may receive this survey through a link either by text or email depending on your preferred contact method.

Can I opt out?
Yes, you can opt out however this means you may miss out on information that is relevant to your area.

Think very carefully before you take your dog on a walk this week. With a rare red heat warning being issued in parts of the UK, hot pavements and high temperatures can quickly put dogs at risk 💔

Please share this post to reach more dog owners.

Hold the back of your hand to the ground for several seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

Walk dogs during the coolest times of the day, such as early morning or late evening. On exceptionally hot days, it may be best to avoid walks altogether and instead focus on enrichment activities and keeping your dog cool and comfortable at home.
