We have been busy bees!
On Friday 15th May we held our annual charity golf tournament and raised some £2,500 for Tapping House Hospice. After hours of intense competition all golfers and support staff sat down to a sumptuous buffet and the chance to regret the missed putts, the wayward drives and other dodgy shots. The Winning Team with 89 stableford points was Stow Cricket Club represented by Mark Skipper, George, Dan, and Jamie Cook. The picture shows Rotarian John Ebbage (organiser of the day) with his happy crew of lady golfers.
Then this last Sunday (24th May) we organised the French Café in the Clock Room of the Town Hall with tables spilling out onto the Town Square. A dozen or so Rotarians, suitably garbed in berets, Breton shirts and some (of the male Rotarians) even sported moustaches to enhance the French 'feel' as waiters and waitresses. The café was situated in the Clock Room of the Town Hall with further tables outside on the Town Square. French flags and bunting decorated tables and any other available surface! Again, a substantial sum was raised to support a local good cause. Thank you to everybody who came and enjoyed a croissant and/or a cheeky glass of wine. The other pictures speak for themselves, knobbly knees and all
