July Summary 🗓️

Thanks to 10 local donors, we received £157 and were able to help four people with essentials including groceries and household bills.

We also received three requests that we couldn't fund because demand exceeded what we had available. That's always the hardest part of running the fund.

Downham Solidarity Fund supports people in Downham Market with the increasing pressures of the cost of living by distributing funds given in solidarity with neighbours. If you're able to contribute (even just a few pounds each month) it helps us say "yes" to more people when they need it most.

June Summary 🗓️

This was another month where demand remained high.

Thanks to nine local donors, we received £113 and were able to help four people with essentials including groceries, fuel and household bills.

We also received four requests that we couldn't fund because demand exceeded what we had available. That's always the hardest part of running the fund.

Heard of a Library of Things before? The idea is simple, why do each of us have a bunch of things you only use a few times a year (like DIY or gardening tools) sitting in a cupboard or shed, when we could each have access to them in a library instead! April Summary 🗓️

This month, due in part to a modest injection of funds from Drop Dead Generous (alongside the regular contributors within our community, we hit our highest peak yet. Supporting 11 people this month, more than any other month so far!
