You might have heard the term AuDHD and wondered what it really means for a child day to day.

It’s not about labels — it’s about understanding a brain that can feel full of contradictions. A child who needs routine but resists it. Who craves connection but gets overwhelmed by it. Who can focus deeply… yet struggle to begin.

When we understand AuDHD, behaviour starts to make sense — and our responses can shift from frustration to empathy.

If this resonates, this is your reminder: your child isn’t difficult… their brain is doing a lot at once.

Want to get face-to-face SEND advice and support? Our SEND Roadshows are back for 2026. The first one of the year will be taking place next Tuesday at the Tonbridge Family Hub. Here are the full details:
📍 Angel Centre, Angel Lane, Tonbridge, TN9 1SF
📅 Tuesday 3 March
⏰ 1:00pm – 3:30pm

These roadshows give parents and carers the chance to meet those involved with SEND in Kent, to get advice, ask questions and access in-person support.

More roadshows will be running across the country throughout the rest of the year so keep an eye on our social media channels and our SEND Newsletter for more information on those.

⚽ Support Grassroots Football – Dover Royals FC U12s ⚽
My name is Joe, Chairman of Dover Royals FC, and alongside my brother Dan, who is also a Director of the club, I am fundraising to support our Under 12s grassroots football team.
Dover Royals FC was created to give children a positive introduction to football — particularly those who have never played for a team before. Our aim is to build confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment in a safe, supportive environment, while helping young players develop both on and off the pitch.
To help raise vital funds, Dan and I will be cycling a total of 280 miles across February in support of the club. All funds raised will go directly towards essential costs such as kits, training equipment, pitch hire, referees, and league fees — helping ensure every child has the opportunity to be part of a team.
Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this post, would be hugely appreciated and will make a real difference to our players.
Thank you for supporting Dover Royals FC and grassroots football in our community.
💙⚽

Another in our A Voice of a Child series — a gentle reminder of what it can feel like on the inside when a child has dyscalculia. 💛
These words aren’t about excuses… they’re about understanding. Because when we recognise the “why”, we can offer support that reduces shame and helps confidence grow.

We want every woman and girl who lives, works, socialises, or attends school in our communities to feel safe, build confidence, learn practical skills, and feel empowered.
