Parking is free for RSPB members (£5 otherwise). The visitors centre has toilets and a café.
We will start with a walk around the reserve and across the road to the Hanson ARC. The hobbies should still be here & early autumn migrants will be coming in. Then onto Dungeness power station for seabirds & ice-cream.

Please let Keith know if you will be attending through our channels.

After crossing the Queen Elizabeth Bridge (TOLL) exit the M25 onto A282. Leave at J31 onto A1306 for Thurrock.

Stay on the A1306 for about 2 miles then follow the signs for RSPB Rainham Marshes on New Tank Hill Road.

Parking is free for RSPB members. Leave your membership card face down on the dashboard. It is no longer required to enter the reserve. There are toilets but the cafe is now closed
Summer is a good time for Marsh Harriers, Hobbies, Kingfishers & Bearded T**s. Terns will still be in residence.

Unusual migrants often stop by in August. Butterflies and other insects are abundant. It is a flat 3 mile walk
around the reserve. No shade. Good sized hides with plenty of seating. There are toilets halfway round & a large hide for lunch, or we can eat on benches outside near the toilets.

High tide is about 2pm so first we can head out along the upper path shore of the Thames for waders and ducks
