We are here to help and support people from across the city who would like to volunteer. We also support organisations in Derby who involve volunteers.

We have an appointment service for individuals who are interested in volunteering. The Volunteer Centre offers a free and impartial service to help organisations and members of the community find the volunteers and volunteering opportunities they're looking for. We also work closely with volunteer centres across the County. If you're not based in Derby City you may want to access your local Volunteer Centre:

A fantastic opportunity for Volunteer Managers, Leaders and Coordinators to come together to network, support one another, and share ideas, challenges, and best practice.

The session will feature guest speakers from local organisations who will share their experiences of working with volunteers. There will also be plenty of opportunities to network, exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and learn from one another.

💡 Topic of the Forum: Volunteer Inductions
This forum’s theme is Volunteer Inductions. We’ll be exploring how organisations welcome and introduce new volunteers, sharing ideas on what makes a good induction, discussing common challenges, and exchanging good practice to help volunteers feel supported, confident, and part of the organisation from the very beginning.
