When Christina first joined Tameside Wellness Centre, she was struggling with confidence, hip and back problems and wasn’t sure what exercise was right for her.

With support from Jenny through Live Active, she started with simple Water Wellness exercises to gently build strength, mobility and confidence. Over time, Christina progressed to Pilates, yoga and aqua aerobics - while also building friendships that have become an important part of her life.

Her “Ducklings” group has become a close-knit community, with friendships extending beyond the centre to meals out, evenings together and even holidays. After three major operations, the support of the Live Active team, centre staff and fellow members has continued to make a real difference.
