The Share Shed

20/10/2026

**We've given the Share Shed website a makeover!** 🛠️

It's now easier to see what we've got available to borrow, from power tools and decorating equipment to carpet cleaners, pressure washers, thermal imaging cameras, gardening equipment and plenty more.

**We've now got over 250 members**, which is fantastic. But we'd love more people across Denby Dale, Scissett and the surrounding villages to make use of the Share Shed.

The idea is simple. Most of us have bought things we only needed once or twice, and then stored them away for years. Why not borrow instead?

It's cheaper, saves storage space, reduces waste and makes good use of equipment that can be shared around the community.

✅ **Membership is completely free.** You just pay a small borrowing fee when you need something.

We're run by local volunteers, and we're always looking to expand the collection with useful equipment.

**Have a look at our new website, see what's available and consider joining us.**

And if you know someone who might find the Share Shed useful, please share this post. The more people who use it, the better it works for everyone.

**Borrow more. Buy less. Share Shed.**

The Share Shed has been very busy throughout September and we've gained quite a few new members. Special thanks this month to our friends at Scissett Home and DIY Store, without whom we couldn't do this.

The Shed has also got bigger because we've added a few new items since the summer....

Garden Shredder 👩‍🌾
Slow Cooker 👨🏾‍🍳
Black and Decker Workmate 🔧
..plus a new wallpaper st****er and a steam cleaner.
