💛 SILENCE CHANGES NOTHING. ONE CONVERSATION CAN SAVE A LIFE. 💛

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the amazing team at Darwen Ducks for giving me the honour and privilege of taking on a role at their Glow in the Dark event that is incredibly close to my heart. ❤️

My role was to raise awareness about su***de, encourage conversations and invite people to write down the names of those who have survived su***de and those who have sadly lost their lives.

I’m not going to pretend it was easy, because it wasn’t. It was emotional, it was powerful, and there were moments that brought tears to many eyes, including my own. 💔

To every single person who stopped, shared a name, told me their story, shed a tear or simply said thank you, I want you to know how much that meant. ❤️

Behind every name is a person, a story, a family, a friend and a life that matters.

I have always believed that silence changes nothing. We cannot be afraid to talk about su***de. We cannot shy away from difficult conversations because sometimes, just one conversation, one moment of listening or one person showing they care can be enough to save someone’s life.

This subject is incredibly personal to me and something I will never stop raising awareness about.

To the team at Darwen Ducks, thank you for recognising the importance of creating space for these conversations. What a fantastic and meaningful idea to include at your event.

Thank you for trusting me with something so important and for giving me the privilege of being part of it. It is an experience I will carry with me for a very long time. ❤️

To those we have lost, we remember you. To those who have survived, we see you. And to those who are struggling right now, please know you do not have to face it alone. 💛

💕 A little personal favour from me, Sammy 💕

As many of you know, I dedicate a huge amount of my time to running Darwen Community Helpers, something I’m incredibly passionate about and absolutely love doing.

What some people may not realise is that I don’t receive a wage or personal income from DCH.

Alongside my community work, I’m now building something for myself, something that will give me financial independence while allowing me to continue doing what I love.

💕 Introducing Sammy’s Little Studio 💕

My little business is growing, bringing together several things I’m passionate about.

🌸 My eBay Shop: Beautiful bridal accessories, gifts and other lovely products available to purchase.

🌸 Tropic Skincare & Beauty: Gorgeous skincare, beauty and wellbeing products.

🌸 Personalised Gifts: Something I’m currently developing, with lots of exciting ideas for the future.

🌸 Private One-to-One Wellbeing Sessions: Launching in January!

These sessions will offer a safe, supportive and confidential space for people who need encouragement, guidance or direction in life.

✨ Building self-confidence and self-belief

✨ Goal setting and personal development

✨ Motivation and finding your direction

✨ Working through personal barriers and feeling stuck

✨ Making positive changes and moving forward

✨ Having someone listen, encourage and support you without judgement

With my degree in Applied Psychology and qualifications in life coaching, this is something I’m particularly passionate about. I’m currently putting the necessary policies and procedures in place ready for January.

But right now, I have a little favour to ask. ❤️

I’m not asking anyone to buy anything or spend money they don’t have.

I’m simply asking whether you would consider following my page, sharing it with your friends and family, or taking a look at what I’m building.

I’ve spent the last five years building something for our community, and now I’m also building something for my own future.

I’m a single working mum, working hard to create my own income and financial security while continuing to support the community I love.

And sometimes, even the people who spend their lives helping others need a little support themselves. ❤️

🌞 GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! 💛

We are back open as normal today at both our Community Hub and Community Shop, and Job Club is running as usual! 😊

We would also like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who joined us on our community day trip to Blackpool yesterday! 🚌🐒🦁

What a fantastic day we had! ❤️

Although the weather wasn’t on our side to begin with, a huge thank you to the lovely staff at Darwen Valley Community Centre for kindly allowing everyone to take shelter whilst we waited for our coach. We really appreciated it! 🥰

Thankfully, by the time we arrived at Blackpool Zoo, the weather had picked up beautifully, and we all had the most amazing day! ☀️🐾

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a wonderful community outing!

A special thank you also goes to Cranberry Coaches and our wonderful driver for getting us there and back safely and helping make our day such a lovely experience! 🚌❤️

🎄 Next stop… York Christmas Markets! We are already looking forward to another fantastic day together!
