Craft & Connect – Tuesdays at The Edge Centre

Come along to The Edge Centre, Darlington (DL3 6AR), 10–12, for this free session for adults.

There’s no teaching and no pressure – just come along, bring your own craft or try one of the activities we provide, and enjoy some time for yourself. Crafting is a wonderful way to relieve stress, boost your mood and support your overall wellbeing.

It’s also a great chance to meet new people in a relaxed, welcoming space and take a positive break from your week.

We hope to see you there!

Our latest Marcus Movers adventure took us to Richmond, where we walked the famous Drummer Boy route and explored Easby Abbey.

PAWSITIVE STRIDES - FREE WELLBEING DOG WALKS IN DARLINGTON

The weather wasn't exactly on our side for our last Pawsitive Strides walk. However, we were still joined by lovely Bailey, Toffee, Chip, Billy, Oscar and their owners.

Our next walk is happening on THURSDAY 4TH JUNE at 2pm. We’ll be meeting at South Park Café (DL1 5TG) and heading out together from there.

Please do come along for a walk and a natter. We're a friendly bunch and we'd love to see some new faces.

You are welcome with or without a dog!

Meet Rebekah!

Rebekah (pictured centre) is our new Peer Support Worker, working directly with young adults aged 18–25 who are experiencing a mental health inpatient stay in hospital. In a special project delivered in partnership with Teesside Mind, The Cornforth Partnership, and TEWV, Peer Support Workers will draw on their own lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery to offer understanding, reassurance, and practical support during what can be an overwhelming and unfamiliar time.

They support young people throughout their stay - helping them find their feet on the ward, build confidence and prepare for life beyond hospital.

We're proud to be exhibiting some of our clients' LEGO creations at the Darlington Brick Show at Hopetown Darlington this weekend!

The models on display have been created as part of our LEGO Mindfulness Project, where clients have used LEGO to support their wellbeing, build confidence and enjoy trying something new. Some of the builds were made during group sessions, while others were continued at home.

This exhibition is a chance to celebrate our clients' achievements, creativity and the fantastic work they've put into their projects. We're looking forward to sharing it with visitors this weekend.

A huge well done to everyone involved and a special thank you to Brick Alley for their support 💙
