like to get involved with your local community, bell ringing could be for you! Wedding ringing information:

Bell ringing for Wedding ceremonies dates back to Celtic times, when bells were reputed to have the power to ward off evil spirits and even grant wishes! In the Saint Mary’s Tower, there are a total of ten working bells, which can all be rung on your special day, to really put some celebration into the occasion. The sound of Wedding bells really makes a statement and will give your ceremony a very traditional feel. The bells are usually rung for around thirty minutes before the arrival of the Bride and then again as the Wedding Party leaves Church. Arrangements can also be made to compliment your other performers, so if you have booked a Piper, String Quartet or Brass Band, the bells can work around them. For Wedding ringing, a nominal donation is required to be made at the time of booking and two months notice is always appreciated.
