This page will soon be closing.
All information about Palacerigg, and work towards the return of an animal collection can now be found at Palacerigg Community Trust.
Palacerigg Community Farm was set up at a time when the visitor centre was operated by NLC and we were proposing renting land to recreate an animal collection.
Once NLC made the decision to close the visitor centre, PCT formed and have since become a charity, they managed to achieve a community asset transfer of the visitor centre, longhouse and blue barn.
They also have the lease for 3 fields at Palacerigg and are committed to returning an animal collection to Palacerigg Country Park.
Many of the same people are involved in both projects and because of this there is no need to run two separate pages and 2 separate charitable groups, it makes it harder to source funding and requires 2 seperate sets of administrative paperwork all of which requires alot of time from volunteer.
We hope you will follow our ongoing journey on Palacerigg Community Trusts page and website at www.palacerigg.scot
