CLYST ST LAWRENCE SUMMER FETE
SATURDAY 2nd AUGUST 2025 1pm (please note new start time)
Held in Walkey’s Field by kind permission of John & Liz Bland
And the adjoining Field by kind Permission of Mark & Lil Dixon
Various stalls including
Dog show, Face Painting, Pimm’s & Cider Bar, Cream Teas & BBQ, Raffle, Cake Competition, Cake & Produce Stall, Coconut Shy,
Egg Throwing Competition, Potato Elevator Competition & White Elephant.
Any Donations for the white elephant, cake or produce stall or draw prizes can be delivered to Ian & Shirley Turner@ Eastside prior to the fete or bring with you on the day.
If you would like to help run a stall, please let a pcc member know beforehand.

Cookery Competition
Entry Fee £2 per entry – Adults £1 per entry Under 16 (on day of fete)
1 Victoria Sandwich (men & boys only) Recipe provided below

3 4 Flapjacks
4 4 Decorated Cup Cakes (decoration only judged)
Victoria Sandwich
8oz Margarine
8oz Caster Sugar
8oz Self Raising Flour
4 Eggs
Pre heat the oven to 160 c fan, Line the base of 2 x 7 ½ - 8-inch sandwich tins with greaseproof or parchment paper.
Beat together the margarine and caster sugar until light & fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time slowly mixing through
Sift in the flour and mix in
Spoon the mixture into prepared tins and level the top.
Bake for 36 mins until a thin skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Allow to cool slightly before turning out on a cooling rack.
When cold, sandwich together with Jam and dust the top with caster sugar.
Please bring entries & fees to fete by 1.30pm
Each class is open to adults and children alike.
If you are under 16 years of age please let us know your age as we reserve the right to divide the under 16s entries if appropriate
