WE'RE ON BBC RADIO 4 TOMORROW!

We are incredibly excited to share that tomorrow evening, Devon Healing Horsemanship's Founder and CEO, Louise Broadway, will be joining Kiri Pritchard-McLean on BBC Radio 4's Best Medicine on Wednesday 12th August at 6.30pm.

Louise will be championing something we see the power of every day here at DHH – how horses really are the best medicine!

Best Medicine celebrates the science, ideas and approaches that can make a difference to people's lives – so we're absolutely delighted to see equine-assisted work being given a national platform.

For a small Devon charity, having the opportunity to talk about this work on BBC Radio 4 feels pretty special.

Not quite the afternoon we had planned...

This morning Mel was absolutely fine while Clips was out helping deliver sessions. When I returned to the barn later today, I discovered she'd managed to stand on a nail.
We're currently waiting for the vet to assess her, so for now it's a case of keeping her comfortable and crossing our fingers that it's nothing too serious.

People often see the magical moments our horses create in sessions, but behind the scenes there's also a huge commitment to their care, welfare and wellbeing. They give so much to the people we support, so when they need us, everything else waits.

With over 20 years’ experience in leadership and horsemanship, Louise is an Accredited Practitioner delivering equine assisted interventions across Devon, as well as an accredited TheHorseCourse facilitator. Her work supports children, young people and adults — particularly those who have not progressed through traditional talk-based therapies.
