Today we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating one of our lovely ladies, Sylvia, as she reached the incredible milestone of 100 years young! 💕✨

Family, friends and our wonderful Patriot household came together to make Sylvia’s day extra special, filling the room with smiles, laughter, love and plenty of birthday cheer! 🥳💐

A century of memories, stories, laughter and love what an incredible achievement! ❤️

We feel so lucky to have Sylvia as part of our family and it was a true privilege to celebrate this very special milestone with her and those closest to her. 🥰

🍰✨ No-Bake Decorating Fun! ✨🍰

Today we got creative with some delicious shortbread and sponge cake! 🧁💗 Decorating, getting creative and enjoying something tasty is not only lots of fun, but it’s also good for the mind and wellbeing. 🥰

There were plenty of smiles, creativity and, of course, a little bit of tasting along the way! 😋🍰

Living with or caring for someone with dementia can sometimes feel like a lonely journey. B’s Dementia Café is a friendly place to come together, share experiences and meet others who understand.

Hosted by an Admiral Nurse, our monthly café offers a relaxed and supportive space for families, friends and carers — with plenty of time for a chat over a cuppa and cake! ☕🍰

🎶✨ What an afternoon! ✨🎶

We had the fabulous Sharon entertaining us this afternoon, and what a fantastic time we had! 🎤💃🕺

There was plenty of singing, smiles and even a few little dance moves as everyone joined in with a brilliant singalong. ❤️ and cup tea and a peace cake 🍰

A huge thank you to Sharon for putting on such a wonderful performance — it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! 🌟🎵

What a wonderful Well-being Wednesday with our fantastic exercise specialist JAG! Our residents enjoyed keeping active, having fun, and taking part in exercises that support strength, mobility and overall wellbeing. Lots of smiles, laughter and encouragement all around! 😊

🍂🎨 Crafty Creations This Morning! 🎨🍂

Our lovely residents got creative this morning as we started getting into the autumn theme!

🍁🍂 There were lots of smiles, creativity and plenty of beautiful autumn-inspired creations.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying some meaningful creative time together. ❤️

Today marks World Alzheimer's Month and this year's theme is 'The earlier you know, the more you can do'. 🧠🤔

It is estimated that 55 million people globally are living with dementia, and this is set to rise to 78 million by 2030 - that's almost +42% in under five years. 🤯

🏡 Our villages are open to local communities and we invite everyone to pop in for a chat with the team. You don't have to know someone living with dementia to find out more about it. Come and say hello, today.

An early, accurate diagnosis is the crucial first step towards accessing treatment, care and support, enabling those living with a diagnosis to live independently for as long as possible.

But diagnosis must be the beginning of support, not the end. Did you know that up to 85% of people living with dementia may not be accessing post-diagnostic care? Prevailing stigma that surrounds dementia must not be a barrier for those seeking a diagnosis!

We call for health and care systems to be ready to recognise dementia as a major health challenge, and support people up to the point of diagnosis and beyond.

☀️🍹🎷 SUNSHINE, SPRITZ & SAX! 🎷🍹☀️

What better way to celebrate the end of summer than with a good old fashioned party! 🎉

We welcomed the whole village to join us in the Bistro for fish & chips and ice cream, with our amazing Bistro team serving up some truly delicious food. 🍦🐟🍟

And of course, no party is complete without music! Alison was absolutely fantastic on the saxophone, filling the Bistro with music that had everyone singing, dancing and smiling. 💃🕺🎷

The joy and energy in the room was incredible, and it was so lovely to hear such wonderful feedback from our residents about how much they thoroughly enjoyed our End of Summer Bash. ❤️

It might have been raining outside, but that certainly didn’t stop us bringing our own sunshine! ☀️🌧️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a fantastic afternoon. Here’s to ending summer with good food, great music and even better company! 🥂🎉
