We’re really sad to share that our 15th Anniversary Celebration will no longer be going ahead.
As many of you know, Smile is a very small charity team, and over recent weeks we’ve experienced some unexpected resource challenges behind the scenes, which have significantly impacted our capacity at a crucial time in the event planning process. Alongside this, ticket sales unfortunately hadn’t reached the level we needed, not only to create the atmosphere and energy an event like this deserved, but also to ensure the event raised funds rather than costing the charity money.
After a lot of careful thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
We’re so sorry to everyone who bought a ticket and was looking forward to celebrating with us. We know it would have been such a special evening. We will be processing refunds over the coming days.
We also want to say a huge thank you to the incredible Caroline Kelf, AKA DJ Flourish who generously offered her amazing talents free of charge. We know the night would have been unforgettable.
And thank you too to the wonderful businesses and organisations who offered sponsorship and support so generously. Your kindness and belief in Smile means more than you know.
Although we may not be celebrating our 15th birthday in the way we’d hoped, the pride we feel in reaching this milestone remains unchanged. 15 years of supporting new parents across Cheshire East is still something truly special, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of that journey.
