We are thrilled to have been chosen as the Charity Sponsor at Howick Horse Trials this year, organised by Hannah Matthews.
Held just outside Chepstow, this fantastic event features a three-phase competition taking place across three dates throughout the year and is the only British Eventing competition remaining in Wales.
Great Oaks Hospice has been selected to sponsor one of the cross-country jumps—an exciting opportunity to raise awareness of the vital work we do to support patients and families across our community.
This partnership is especially meaningful for one of our team members, who has a personal connection to the event and has seen first-hand the difference hospice care can make. They are passionate about helping us share that impact with others.
Howick Horse Trials offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with the local community and shine a light on the importance of hospice care.
Our fundraising buckets will be in the Secretary’s Tent, and if you’re attending, we would be incredibly grateful if you’d consider supporting Great Oaks Hospice.

🎬✨ SATURDAY NIGHT UNDER THE STARS IS ALMOST HERE! ✨🎬

This Saturday, Great Oaks Hospice proudly presents its first-ever Drive-In Movie Night, and what a night we have in store!

🚗 Gates open at 7:30pm
🎥 Grease starts at 9:30pm
📍 Speech House Field

🔊 Bluetooth speakers will provide crystal-clear sound direct to your vehicle, so all you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

🍔 Hungry? The Food Dude will be serving up delicious American-style burgers and hot food.

🍦 Fancy something sweet? Chase Farm Milk will be on hand with their amazing ice cream, waffles and milkshakes.

🥪 Prefer your own treats? Feel free to bring a picnic and make the evening your own.

🚻 Toilet facilities will be available throughout the evening, including accessible facilities, ensuring everyone can enjoy the event comfortably.

🌙 Whether you're bringing family, friends or that special someone, there's something magical about watching a classic film under the stars.

Today we held our Royal Ascot Ladies Day at Bells Hotel, Coleford – and what a truly fantastic day it was!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us. The effort that went into your outfits was incredible – you all looked amazing. As one guest said, “It was such a wonderful afternoon – the atmosphere, the outfits, and knowing it’s all for such a special cause made it even more memorable.”
We’re also so grateful to the wonderful staff at Bells Hotel, who worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran so smoothly.

🎉 Volunteer Tony Smashes Half Marathon Challenge for His 60th! 🏃‍♂️
Great Oaks Hospice volunteer Tony has already completed an incredible six half marathons this year as part of a personal challenge to mark his 60th birthday – and he’s not stopping there!
Originally setting out to run a series of races across the year, Tony has gone above and beyond his initial plan and will now continue taking part in even more half marathons throughout 2026, all while raising vital funds for our hospice.
Tony’s most recent achievement was the Bath Two Tunnels Half Marathon, adding another fantastic milestone to his journey.
We’re hugely grateful for Tony’s dedication, commitment, and inspiring effort to support Great Oaks Hospice 💚
