Manager of The Palace Cinema, Cinderford Andy Lougher has wanted to see the old entrance to The Palace Cinema put back into use since he acquired the building of Mark Cunnigham in 2006. Since 2023 Andy and his friends have worked on the project and within this photo album, we share updates of it's progress.

It's World Rainforest Day

Most people picture the Amazon when they hear "rainforest" — but did you know the UK has its own?

Temperate rainforest once blanketed a fifth of Britain. Today, less than 1% survives, and Puzzlewood is one of those rare remaining pockets.

Beneath our cool tree canopy you can see why these places are so special: ancient rocks draped in lush moss, ferns unfurling in every shade of green, and an atmospheric world that supports wildlife you rarely find elsewhere.

We don't take it lightly. Every path, fence and intricate bridge here is maintained with one aim — letting you explore this ancient landscape while keeping its fragile balance undisturbed. So when you visit, take it slow, stick to the paths, and soak up everything around you 💚
