Our Dean Trail Volunteers Christmas Party is getting closer, and we'd love to see as many of you there as possible!

Whether you've joined us for 1 dig or 100, helped behind the scenes, or supported DTV in other ways, you're all part of the team and everyone is welcome! 💚🚵

We've now got the food menus for the evening, and there's plenty to choose from, including burgers, raclette poutine, loaded fries and vegetarian and vegan options.

Ladies, let’s get digging!

This Sunday, we have women-led dig day. A chance to get outdoors, meet some lovely people and give a little love back to the trails we all enjoy riding. 💚

Whether you’re a seasoned trail builder or have never picked up a spade, you’re very welcome!

There’ll be a mix of jobs to get stuck into, from sweeping away leaves and pebbles to reshaping berms and building drops. It’s a brilliant opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and spend time with a supportive bunch of women who love bikes as much as you do.

🛠️ A few things to bring:
Clothes you don’t mind getting muddy and are weather suitbale
Sturdy boots and gloves
Water, plus snacks if you fancy

📍 Meet at the DTV container, just to the right of the Pedalabikeaway Café.

Never been on a dig before? No worries! Our trained dig leads and experienced volunteers will be there to help you get stuck in, with a safety briefing and hi-vis provided.

Come along, learn something new, make some friends and help keep our trails running sweetly. The more the merrier!

If you were at FOD Fest this weekend you would have heard the news. Ski Run is getting a revamp.

Ski Run is one of the Forest of Dean’s oldest and most loved MTB trails. It’s got history, character and a pretty special place in the hearts of generations of riders. ❤️

But after years of riding, rain and plenty of abuse, it needs some serious love.

Dean Trail Volunteers want to give Ski Run a proper revamp. We aim to create a world-class double-black trail that keeps the character and race pedigree of the original, while making it more sustainable, more challenging and ready for the next generation of riders.

Think progression, challenge, big features and race-ready riding, bringing Ski Run up to the same level as GBU, while keeping its history at the heart of the project.

But they can’t make it happen without the MTB community.

🌞 **The DTV Summer Social is nearly here!** 🌞

We're only a few days away, so here's everything you need to know...

🕑 **Gates open:** **2:00pm** at Worcester Lodge. ///elbowed.heartless.booms

☕ **Step 1:** Arrive.
👋 **Step 2:** Have a good natter.
🚵 **Step 3:** Head out for a social ride.
🍔 **Step 4:** Eat! (Food will be served around **6:00pm**.)
🍻 **Step 5:** Put the world to rights and tell increasingly unbelievable riding stories.

# # # Don't forget to bring:

🏕️ Tent, campervan, bivvy... or whatever keeps the weather out.
😎 Your best sunny disposition (compulsory).
🍺 Drinks for the evening.
🥓 Breakfast for the morning.
🔦 A torch – unless you fancy finding the portaloo by echolocation!

Worcester Lodge is a **back-to-basics field** with:
💧 Fresh drinking water.
🚻 A basic portaloo.

No electricity. No glamping. No room service. Just good company, bikes, food and plenty of laughs.

🔥 **Please note:** This is a **ticket-only event**, so if you haven't signed up, unfortunately we can't let you in.

🚫 **Fires are banned**, so please leave the fire pits, chimineas and flamethrowers at home. Your dazzling personality should provide more than enough warmth!

A huge thank you to our friends at Muck-Truck for paying us a visit and helping us upgrade our trail maintenance kit.

Terry and his team have kindly provided us with Max, who made moving materials and equipment around the trails much easier.

On top of that, they've generously donated a range of new accessories to help us get even more from the machine.
