Mangali has his roof! 🏠❤️

A huge thank you to Jennifer Croucher, Jacq Scoochie and Emma Mandeville-Box, the three lovely ladies whose donations have helped put a roof over Mangali and his family’s heads. You have made such a difference. ❤️

Mangali is a young father who works with us at LittleWood Creek Community Shelter. He bought a small piece of land to build a home for his family and is slowly paying it off, doing what he can to give them a place of their own.

Having a roof brings him one step closer to the security of a family home, and that means the world to him.

Thank you for helping make this possible 🥰

We can’t afford to tile the whole shelter in one go, so we’re trying out floor paint to see us through for now. 🎨

It’s another step towards getting LittleWood Creek ready, and we’re excited to see how the rooms look once the floors are finished! ❤️

Our front and back doors are being fitted and finished! 🤩🚪

The main aim of this trip was to get the shelter secure, and we’re getting so close. Just a few more windows to go! 🪟❤️

It’s amazing to see LittleWood Creek coming together, one step at a time 🫶

Our outdoor kitchen is taking shape! 🧱🍲 This space will help us provide food for people using the LittleWood Creek training room. We hope to welcome adults for skills training, as well as run clubs and activities for children and adults from the local village. And when we have the resources, we’ll be able to cook and share meals with the community too. ❤️ It’s lovely to see another part of the shelter coming together. Thank you to everyone helping us build it 🫶

Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures, Angie! ❤️

Mtomondoni Primary School is local to our shelter. The children loved receiving the letters and pictures from the children at Kiddicaru Nursery in Bristol.

They’ve written letters back, drawn pictures and made paintings. They’re also sending photos to show you how they make things. They look forward to hearing from you again soon! 🥰
