We had a lovely day out on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, thanks to The Willow Trust. We took two boats out along the waterway before heading ashore at Purton to enjoy a picnic alongside the canal in the sunshine.

Everyone had a fantastic time, from having a go at steering the boat and sitting out on deck, to enjoying a singsong together. It was a wonderful opportunity to get out and make some lovely memories.

A huge thank you to The Willow Trust and their wonderful volunteers for making it such a memorable and enjoyable day for everyone. We look forward to our next trip!

Over the summer, our Menโ€™s Shed South Cerney participants have been visiting residents at OSJCT The Lakes Care Centre for their Friendship Shed sessions. ๐ŸŒž

Our volunteers have been sharing their woodworking skills with residents, who have worked together to handcraft some lovely bird boxes and bug hotels for the Care Centreโ€™s gardens.

Here are some photos of the bug hotels created last week, now proudly displayed in the gardens and ready to provide a home for some of our smaller garden visitors. ๐Ÿž๐ŸŒฟ

In our last Mindful Crafts session, Beth from Honeymoon Fern instructed the group on making a floral arrangement. ๐Ÿ’

The group decorated jam jars first with fabric and ribbons, filling them with foliage and seasonal flowers including dahlias, verbena and zinnias. The resulting floral arrangements were admired by everyone, and a real sense of pride and achievement was evident in the room.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the session so enjoyable. Our Mindful Crafts sessions are a lovely opportunity to slow down, get creative and enjoy some time together. Future dates will be announced soon.

Cotswold Wildlife Park Summer Trip ๐Ÿ˜Ž

We had a brilliant day out at Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens! Despite the heat, there was plenty of shade, play areas and open space to explore, with lots of amazing animals to see. ๐Ÿฆ

Our summer trips are all about giving families the chance to enjoy new experiences, spend quality time and make memories together.

A big thank you to Meliny from The Kitchen Club Cotswolds for the delicious lunchboxes and to Ellisons Coaches, Garage & Car Sales for transporting us and keeping us cool on the journey.
