*Advance notice of temporary path closure*

The Cleveland Lakes permissive path and bird hides will be closed from 8am-2pm on Saturday 12 September for the Cotswold Lakes 10k Run.

Runners and marshal vehicles will be in operation on the path during this time. There is no Public Right of Way along this route.

As an alternative, please use the Thames Path National Trail Public Bridleway.

Our Cotswold Lakes 10k is back on Saturday 12 September – and we're looking for the next generation of runners to take on the challenge!

Hummingbird hawk moths are migrants from Southern Europe and more of them than usual have arrived in Britain this year.

About two and a half centimetres long, they really do look like tiny hummingbirds. Search for them in sunny weather using their long tongues to feed on their favourite flowers, especially Buddleia, Verbena and Honeysuckle.

Come and join us for a Family Water Discovery Morning Walk

A fun family walk exploring water wildlife, butterflies, trees, water quality, and simple ways to protect our local waterways.

Arrive between 9:30am and 10:00am at Cleveland Farm Quarry. There is a short drive through the site to the parking area, so please drive slowly and follow the speed limit.

Start the short circular walk whenever you arrive, exploring a range of interactive activity stations about wildlife, water and trees at your own pace. The walk route is a flat, easy walk on a mixture of grass and gravel paths, although not really suitable for pushchairs. Please wear suitable footwear.

**Please note that dogs are not permitted, except assistance dogs.**

Facilities: Toilets and a coffee truck will be available on site.

With temperatures soaring, the thought of running 10k might sound completely bonkers right now - but don’t worry... 12 September is still a little way off! 😉

By then, the heatwave should (hopefully!) be a distant memory and you'll be ready to take on our beautiful Cotswold Lakes 10k. 🏃‍♂️🌿

With another on its way, we know that many people like to head to the to make the most of the weather.

However, please stay out of the water whilst visiting Neigh Bridge and our other sites, and enjoy these beauty spots responsibly, for the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and wildlife.

The unauthorised Traveller encampment at Bridge Car Park has now departed.

However, with significant amounts of litter and human waste present on site, it will remain temporarily closed until we have fully assessed and implemented the necessary clean up.

Thank you for patience while we bring the site back to a good and safe condition.

We are seeking a finance professional to join our Board of Trustees.

The appointee will sit on the Board and Finance Committee, as well as being actively involved in our Audit Committee and working closely with our Management Accountant.

We’re looking for someone with:
- strong financial skills to help with the next stage of our strategic development
- previous experience of operating in the charity sector (an advantage, but not essential)
- an interest in conserving and improving the Cotswold Lakes for the benefit of wildlife and people.
