Our lovely DB is spending a couple of days at The Liphook Equine Hospital again. Don’t panic, he’s perfectly well albeit slightly confused as to why Coach Clare dropped him there on Wednesday! They are holding a course for vets teaching them to scan and DB as good as he is is the perfect model. Well done DB we are proud of you 💙💚🐴

Incredibly proud of our Quest team yesterday at RDA South East Region Qualifiers at Hickstead All England Show Ground. We took 9 Quest riders along with Jack, DB and Hollie. The riders and ponies all did amazingly well and we came home with armfuls of rosettes and cups. Four of our riders have also qualified for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships in July. Huge well done to them all and thank you to our volunteer team who supported them all on the day and in the build up. A massive thanks to Laris Farm team who turned out our ponies beautifully ensuring we bought home the best turnout cup!

Congratulations to four pupils from The Meath School Ottershaw who were awarded Grade 2 Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) Riding Certificates today. They enjoyed some gymkhana races on the last ride before half term and were all delighted to receive a rosette too! Well done everyone! Thank you to the Tuesday team of volunteers who support these riders each week rain or shine! 💙💚🐴

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the loss of our beautiful Magic 💔

Magic had been part of our Quest Riding for the Disabled family for over 10 years, and during that time she changed so many lives for the better. She was the most genuine, safe and kind pony, and so many of our riders and volunteers adored her.

She could at times be a little misunderstood, but those who knew her best knew just how special she truly was. We could put absolutely anyone on Magic and know they would be safe and cared for. She could turn her hoof to literally anything and gave such a lovely ride. Magic looked after every rider so patiently and lovingly, carrying some of our most disabled children and adults bringing them so much happiness, confidence and joy.

After developing a sudden and severe bout of colic on Saturday afternoon, we rushed her to Liphook Equine Hospital, but despite everyone’s efforts there was nothing more the vets could do, and she was peacefully put to sleep last night. At only 19 years old, Magic has been taken from us far too soon. Huge thanks to our vets Emerson & Watson Equine Veterinary Surgeons and The Liphook Equine Hospital for all they did for Magic.

Our hearts are completely broken. Magic was one of a kind and she will be missed beyond words by all of us at Quest.

We were delighted to welcome Michael Bishop CEO Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) and Holly Tennant Activities Program Manager at RDAUK at Quest today. It was a positive day and so good for us to be able to showcase our facilities at Laris Farm and our wonderful ponies. Michael & Holly enjoyed meeting trustees, coaches, volunteers and seeing some of our participants ride. It was good to have time to chat about what’s happening at National level too. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit us Michael & Holly 💙💚🐴
