On Wednesday 29th April, a group of bell ringers from Clitheroe & surrounding area will be ringing a FULL PEAL on the bells of St. Bartholomew’s starting at 10am. We will have around 3 hours of non-stop ringing - further details follow :-
A peal is a non-stop sequence of a minimum of 5,000 changes where each sequence is different and cannot be repeated. This takes around three hours to ring and is the bell ringers' equivalent of a marathon, requiring concentration and stamina to complete the peal.
