We are run as part of the CCCA (Chipping Children’s Community Alliance) who also offer extended school services in the form of a breakfast, after-school club and pre-school staffed within a fantastic purpose built facility in Chipping, Lancashire. Our aim is to promote a warm, welcome and stimulating safe environment where all parents and children can relax, feel valued and supported to promote the best possible development of children and social opportunity for parents/carers. The Baby & Toddler Group meet in Chipping Memorial Hall from 10 am - 12 noon on Thursdays (during term times). We charge a nominal fee of £1.50 for one child or £2.00 for a family of two or more children to cover costs of refreshments and activities. The objectives of the group are:
• To promote a safe meeting place for parents (carers) and children.
• To promote friendships & play skills for children and parents (carers).
• To promote self-esteem for parents (carers) and children.
• To promote parent (carer) / child interaction.
• To promote an informal support system for parents and carers. Schedule:
10:00 – 10:15 – Meet and greet, sign in, free play session with parent (carer) and child
10:15 – 11:00 – Activity – (Craft, music and movement, parachute games, sports races)
11:00 – 11:15 – Snack Time. Children will receive juice and toast and parents/carers a choice of tea or coffee.
11:15 – 11:45 – Free play or continuation of the activity of the day.
11:45 – 12:00 – Tidy up / song time. (We as parents to help with tidying up of the toys to the door of the cupboard so leaders can store equipment away safely whilst children enjoy the singing)
We are a volunteer run group for the community of chipping and surrounding towns and villages, we are always looking for new parents to feel involved and welcome so please feel free to offer any suggestions or ideas for new sessions. The leaders are always on hand to answer any questions you may have so please feel free to approach us at any time.
