Our friends at Don Catchment Rivers Trust are pulling up the invasive w**d, Himalayan Balsam, on Emmett Carr Brook near Renishaw on Tuesday 2nd June. If you want to volunteer to help see further details below.
Join us for a rewarding morning tackling Himalayan Balsam along the Emmett Carr Brook near Renishaw! Clearing this invasive plant helps native wildflowers thrive, strengthening riverbanks, boosting wildlife habitats and slowing flood flows. Plus, it is oddly satisfying pulling them out! Expect some great pops and squelches as we snap and stomp on the stems to stop them growing back. Come along and get involved on either the 2nd or 11th of June.
