⚠️ Notice from Brimfest Organisers ⚠️
Some residents have contacted us regarding the barriers around Thistle Park. Due to Martyn’s Law (Formerly Terrorism Act) we have been advised by the council that we need to improve security measures and increase staffing for large scale events. This means that the Brimfest is safer for everyone, since bags will be checked by our security staff on the main gate. No access is permitted through gardens, or off Coronation Road. (Coronation Rd barriers will be opened to allow pedestrians to exit after 8pm on Friday and after 7pm on Saturday.)
This is not about making a profit, our ticket prices and bar prices are intentionally low and affordable for a community festival. Any money raised goes back into funding future events or improving the park.
Alcohol is not permitted to be brought onsite, again due to licensing laws imposed on us by the council.
We kindly ask that everyone complies with these regulations to ensure Brimfest is a safe, family event which can continue. Thank you for your understanding.
