If you’re able to give County Durham and Sunderland Foodbank a helping hand with one of our biggest collections of the year, we’d really appreciate it! 🧡

Every volunteer makes a difference, and we’d love to have you involved! 🛒

🎄 Can you spare a few hours to support our Tesco Winter Collection? 💚

We're looking for volunteers to help us collect food and toiletries for local people who need support over the Christmas period and into the New Year.

We have various volunteering slots available at:

📍Tesco Durham Gilesgate - especially Thursday and Saturday
📍 Tesco Chester-le-Street – various slots available across all three days
📍 Tesco Newton Aycliffe – various slots available across all three days

No experience is needed, just a friendly face and a willingness to help! Whether you're volunteering on your own, with friends or as part of a corporate team, every hour makes a difference.

📩 Interested in helping? Get in touch at [email protected] to find out more and sign up for a slot.

Please share to help us spread the word! 💚

Help us with our Christmas hampers at County Durham and Sunderland Foodbank, so we can spread a little festive cheer! 🧡

🎄Only 8 weeks until Christmas! 💚

We’re getting ready to support local families who may be struggling this festive season, and we’d love your help!

Whether you’re organising a Christmas collection or able to pick up an item or two from our shopping list, it would be a big help in preparing Christmas hampers for local families.

📅 Please aim to get donations to us by Friday 4 December so we have time to get the hampers ready!

Well done County Durham Money Advice Centre! 👏🏻

Good advice can make a real difference! 🧡

This Advice Week, we're proud to share the impact of our work at County Durham Money Advice Centre.

So far, from January to September we've helped resolve an incredible £2,318,751 in debt and helped people gain an additional £148,258 in income! 🙌🏻

Behind every figure is someone we've helped to better understand their finances, manage their debts and explore the income they may be entitled to.

If you're struggling with debt or worried about money, you don't have to face it alone. Get in touch to find out how we can help 📩

❄️ Can we beat last year's total?

In 2025, our Tesco Winter Collection collected an incredible 5,384kg of food and toiletries, helping provide around 6,730 meals for local people facing hardship.

This November, we're hoping to make an even bigger difference! 🛒

With your support, we’d love to increase that total and help even more people across our community - but we need volunteers to encourage donations in the below Tesco stores to make it happen! 🙌🏻

📍Durham Gilesgate
📍Chester-le-Street
📍Newton Aycliffe

Whether you can spare an hour or a few, we’d love your help volunteering at our Tesco Winter Collection! Every volunteer makes a difference in helping us collect donations for local people in need 💚
