Prevention starts much earlier. π
A recent BBC article highlights that one in eight young people are not in work or education.
But rather than only asking what happens when a young person reaches that point, perhaps we should also be asking:
What can we do earlier to help prevent it?
Through our GROWTH Programme, we see how much of a difference the right support can make over time.
It's about trusted relationships, consistency, practical opportunities and helping young people build confidence in themselves.
It's about creating those moments where a young person starts to think:
βYes, I can.β
That belief can be incredibly powerful.
Supporting young people early gives them opportunities to recognise their strengths, build resilience, develop skills and start thinking positively about their future.
At CHEXS, we believe prevention isn't something that starts when a problem appears. It starts much earlier.
