They discussed how to build a fire and light one, went off to collect wood, build said fire & lit it before toasting marshmallows. Following on from last week’s session, we continued building our hedgehog 🦔 houses.
Each patrol was given the materials for almost a complete house, although some sawing still needed to be done. The Scouts used drills to make pilot holes for the screws, and every patrol worked really well together, showing great teamwork throughout the evening.
There’s still plenty to do before the houses are finished, but excellent progress was made and we’ll continue the project after half term.
Thank you to the team of dads who helped this evening and are wiling to return to finish our project, one in particular who spent his weekend cutting wood in preparation.
