Benches !!!! The explorers were tasked to make some benches for their newly built fire pit this week. Two complete, one nearly and 3 cut ready to put together. Great to see so many friends today at the Cheam Charter Fair, thanks to everyone who supported our stall raising funds for Cheam Village Explorer Scout Unit . Today we’ve launched a new fundraising initiative aimed at raising funds for much needed modernisation of 8th Cheam HQ. Any donations, if you are able to donate, would be greatly appreciated.

Our local MP Luke Taylor came to visit the explorers this evening.

It was a great honour to be able to attend a presentation evening this evening run by Cheam and Sutton Rotary for the Young Citizen Awards. Congratulations to all those who received the awards but especially to Joseph who was sponsored by Samantha this year.

Thank you to the Explorers that attended Sutton District St George's Day Parade & Promise Renewal this morning. There were many young people and leaders across the district representing Scouting & honouring our patron Saint.
One of our Explorers had the honour of joining the Colour Party & carried the district flag at the head of the parade.

What a great day of maintenance, w**d clearing, fire pit building, signs up and general clearing

A big thanks to all our parents, leaders and helpers that came up today to help out at our maintenance day. We managed to make a good dent in the ever-long list of jobs necessary to maintain our HQ!
