This bank holiday weekend 9 of our explorers took part in their Silver DofE expedition. Through the wind, rain, clouds and brilliant sunshine they have all been amazing completing the weekend with smiles on their faces and confirming their friendships.

3 of our explorers were lucky to have a week away with The Discovery Sailing Project. They’ve all had a great time with fantastic weather learing how to sail, developing teamwork and gaining time on the water, nautical skills and nights away badges.

Thursday evening the Explorers took part in a rifle shooting session which was run by one of our leaders Adam at Park Farm campsite.
We celebrated one of the Explorers birthdays while they were there with cake.

Benches !!!! The explorers were tasked to make some benches for their newly built fire pit this week. Two complete, one nearly and 3 cut ready to put together. Great to see so many friends today at the Cheam Charter Fair, thanks to everyone who supported our stall raising funds for Cheam Village Explorer Scout Unit . Today we’ve launched a new fundraising initiative aimed at raising funds for much needed modernisation of 8th Cheam HQ. Any donations, if you are able to donate, would be greatly appreciated.

Come along and support the charter fair today and the local community today in cheam village the explorers have a stall of their handmade goods and plants
We are also launching our crowdfunding initiative to raise funds for 8th Cheam HQ which is in urgent need of repair to keep the weekly meetings running for the children of the community
