I am sorry if you cannot understand why we are cancelling visits with our animals ?? If you canβt then you donβt deserve to have the privilege to spend time with them π‘π‘
We are regulated and take animal welfare very seriously our animals come before you !!
Itβs unbelievable when I have to make the call that we are not transporting because itβs too hot the amount of backlash we get.
βMy child is going to be so upsetβ
I am sure they will be more traumatised seeing an animal suffering with heat stroke ??
βCould you give us more notice in the future β
No we canβt as the weather changes all the time and we assess the day before.
This list goes on of what I have received when saying βwe are sorryβ
It really upsets me , we do not do it lightly as it is usually a lose of income for us which impacts the charity , staff and volunteers.
Keep your animals safe and off course your children.
My rant is over as now back to caring for our animals and a staff meeting as to how we move forward as a business. This weather isnβt going away we have to adapt to climate change and the impact it is having on us π«©π«©
Everyone take some time to reflect and please share this post far and wide.
Put water bowls out for our struggling wildlife, keep your animals safe and yourselves
Donating a small amount monthly helps us to future budget our animals welfare. Thank you to all the individuals and businesses that support what we do. They either donate money, products or discounts on services we are forever grateful β€οΈβ€οΈ

With the forecast, must ensure the health and welfare of animals being transported. This includes:
β’ providing fresh water
β’ not moving animals in temperatures over 30 degrees
β’ maximising ventilation by moving fewer animals
