What a busy few days!

Friday and Saturday saw our UMT prep for our Big Help Out event on Sunday at the Unit.

Sunday was our big day... An early morning start for AC James, AC Matthew and CFC Olivia to get to Barrow to compete in the Lakeland District Sea Cadets regatta...thank you to PO Close and James Dad for helping with transport!

Meanwhile our UMT and volunteers from our community hub met the high sheriff at the unit and rallied around to get our outside spaces tidied up and looking better!

Thank you to all our volunteers who help provide our facilities across the district to ensure our cadets get the best experience possible.

Last night CFC Olivia joined us at Killington Lake to go sailing after her first experience of a regatta, her determination was outstanding! Not only that but it was her birthday 🎂🎈

We were also joined by David Allen Cumbria Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner which gave us an opportunity to thank him in person for the funding we received from his community fund for our Duke of Edinburgh equipment. Being able to offer our cadets the ability to complete the award at an affordable cost doing something they love is always a huge win!

Come along and help out!

With volunteer week coming to a close I would like to pay special thanks to all our volunteers at Carlisle Sea Cadets who give up their time every week totally unpaid to make sure our cadets get the best experience we can provide.

Our uniformed instructors, civilian instructors and unit assistants and our Unit management committee work hard behind the scenes on a daily basis to keep up to date with everything needed to keep TS Cumberland going.

Our thanks also go out to Lakeland District Sea Cadets for all their support and putting on all the weekends they do to provide qualifications for staff and our cadets.

Thank you to Kendal Sea Cadets and Maryport Solway Sea Cadets - TS Caesar for allowing our cadets to train alongside you for waterborne activities, we truly appreciate it!

We can't do this without our volunteers so thank you to each and everyone of you!

What an end to the month! After boating on Monday tonight we had cadets completing CTP modules and our end of the month awards.

Our senior cadet of the month goes to AC Summer for her determination and continued presence and drive.

Our most improved senior cadet goes to CDT Isla for absorbing herself in the CTP.

Division of the month was soooo close! By just 1 point Pickle Division takes the honours.

Congratulations to all our cadets for their improvement and keep it up!

Special thanks are also due to our visiting instructors this month PO Close and PPO Helmsley from Kendal Sea Cadets our ACs are very appreciative of your knowledge!
