The Outside Club

23/10/2026

🌙 The clocks are going back, but we're not going anywhere!✨

Our sessions carry on all year round, even when the evenings get darker. We just bring a few extras along! 🔦 Head torches, fires and luminous toys allows us to enjoy the outdoors in a completely different way🔥

We think young people deserve somewhere to go and people to spend time with, whatever the time of year. So we'll keep wrapping up warm, lighting the fire and getting outside! 🌿

This week Kylie and Rosie attended the Frieda Scott round table exploring how organisations remain resilient in tough times.

It was so valuable to discuss the shared challenges we face as organisations operating in a rural area through difficult financial times, and the strategies we use to overcome and continue to meet the needs of our communities.

Thanks to guest speakers Lyndsey Buckle from Cumbria Family Support and Tori O'Callaghan from Springfield Domestic Abuse Support for delivering such insightful talks on charity resilience.

And thanks to Joe Saxton for your incredibly informative introduction.

And of course, thanks to Frieda Scott Trust for bringing together a group of people who care so much about our shared communities.

Thank you to the whole crew at the Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling Association. From the young wrestlers who demoed the sport to the brilliant staff and instructors.

Our Pategill club had an incredible time learning the basics of this local tradition. We all left inspired! 🤼‍♂️🤼‍♀️

Still absolutely buzzing from The Outdoor Cycle this weekend 🌈

What would your dream work team include?
⭐️ Passion
⭐️ Drive
⭐️ Joy
⭐️ Compassion
⭐️ Determination
⭐️ Cohesion and connection

We saw all of these qualities in full force this weekend when we pushed through to ride over 90k through the (not so flat) Cumbrian terrain.

We are so proud and grateful for the extraordinary team we have. We can confidently say our you people are getting the best possible Youth Workers and Trustees.

What an adventure! 🚴‍♀️✨

Over 90km (even though we thought it was 80 😅), laughter, tears, struggle and success!

We are so proud of our team. Not only for their riding and fundraising but for being dedicated to our young people and fuelling the mission that TOC stands for. Every single day.

“I felt part of something special” Karin, one of our trustees.

These inspiring people get to shape and contribute to our communities of young people, doesn’t that give you some faith in the future? 🌟

Thank you for your ongoing support, there is still time to chuck your £5 in the hat.

SO PROUD

The big TOC bike ride is almost here 🤩🎉

This Sunday our team takes on an 80k challenge! With a mix of abilities it’s going to be challenging, probably really wet and a LOT of fun!

Why are we doing it?

Our club is a vital part of the lives of our young people and is a place they call home. We are entirely reliant on public funding to be able to provide that. So we’re coming together to celebrate The Outside Club and raise money at the same time.

So head over to our bio to our just giving link to help us reach our target. We’re over half way there!

P.S. Businesses: did you know your donations are tax deductible? If you have some wiggle room, please support us in this feat!
