What Happens Next?
What would happen if the audience could
help decide the outcome of a play, if
playwrights were accountable for every
moment of their story? What would happen
if several points of view were included in
each stage of the creative process? If you
would like to know, come and watch.
We are looking for playwrights, directors
and actors to be part of this exciting 5 week
project. Theater experience is not
necessary, but a passion for storytelling is
essential.
PROJECT DETAILS:
Have you ever gone to see a play and
thought you would have written it
differently? What Happens Next is a project
which begins with five writers writing the
first five minutes of a play each. These five
minutes are brought to life by directors and
actors for an audience, who are then posed
the question - what happens next?

Beth fyddai’n digwydd pe bai’r gynulleidfa yn
gallu helpu i benderfynu canlyniad drama, pe
bai dramodwyr yn atebol am bob eiliad o’u
stori? Beth fyddai’n digwydd pe bai sawl
safbwynt yn cael eu cynnwys ym mhob cam
o’r broses greadigol? Os hoffet ti wybod, dere i
wylio.
Rydyn ni’n chwilio
am ddramodwyr, cyfarwyddwyr ac actorion i
fod yn rhan o’r prosiect 5 wythnos cyffrous
yma. Does dim angen profiad theatr, ond mae
brwdfrydedd dros adrodd straeon yn
hanfodol.

y byddet ti wedi ei hysgrifennu yn wahanol?
Mae Beth Sy’n Digwydd Nesaf yn brosiect sy’n
dechrau gyda pum dramodydd yn ysgrifennu
pum munud cyntaf drama. Mae’r pum munud
yma yn dod yn fyw gyda chymorth
cyfarwyddwyr ac actorion ar gyfer cynulleidfa,
sydd yna yn ateb y cwestiwn, beth sy’n
digwydd nesaf?

Have you ever gone to see a play and
thought you would have written it
differently? What Happens Next is a project
which begins with five writers writing the
first five minutes of a play each. These five
minutes are brought to life by directors and
actors for an audience, who are then posed
the question - what happens next?
Influenced by the audience’s responses, the
writers will then have 48 hours to continue
with their stories, writing the next five
minutes. These are then experienced by the
same audience the following week, where
afterwards they are proposed the same
question. What happens next? Over the
course of 5 weeks, with the input of writers,
directors, actors and audiences, 5 brand
new 30-minute pieces of theatre will be
developed.

No experience? This course is built for everyone, from total beginners to die hard fans of radio or podcasts.

This two-day course takes place in The Factory, Porth, as part of our Together Stronger partnership with Valleys Kids. By the end, you’ll become a member of Radio Platfform, and gain access to our studios in Porth and Cardiff, and given your slot to record and broadcast your own shows on our award winning station.
