Today we went on our big end of term adventure on the train to Discobowl in town. The girls had a great time playing games, eating pizza and drinking slushies.

Last weekend we took the girls camping in Hampshire. We joined a group of about 100 Brownies, Guides and Rangers from Cardiff & Caerphilly. It was brilliant the girls got to make so many new friends and have adventures. The girls got to do raft building, zip wiring, wide games, crate stacking, orienteering, building a catapult and more! We were very proud when a group of our newest girls stood by the campfire in front of the whole group and made their promise.

We would like to say a massive thank to the Guides and their families for supporting our stall at the Radyr & Morganstown Hub fête last Saturday. It was fantastic meeting so many people from the community while volunteering at the stall.

The Guides loved it when we had Guide dogs come visit the unit. This could be a great day out in half term

Fancy a sneak peek inside a Guide Dogs training centre? Here's your chance! We're opening the doors at Eastern Business Park, St Mellons, on Tuesday May 26 and inviting the public to Meet the Guide Dogs. You'll have the opportunity to chat with our friendly staff and volunteers, and find out how you can get involved and help make a difference to people with sight loss. The event runs from 11am-2pm with something for everyone to enjoy. Watch our trainee dogs take on an obstacle course and find out how you can play a role in their success. The latest Guide Dogs goodies will be on sale, with activities for younger fans. We're expecting high demand, so don't delay - book your place using this link:

Back in December we started a fundraiser to for a Memorial Bench to remember our leader Allison Loder. We were completely overwhelmed with kindness and the Bench has now been installed at Radyr Guide hall. We are going to be having a dedicated ceremony on the first of 1st May and invite those whose lives were touched by Allison to join us. If you do not have a girl currently attending the unit please can you email Jess to let her know you are planning to attend (email in picture 👇)
