It’s Good 2 Give was founded in 2010 by Ian and Lynne McNicoll OBE. We provide practical support to young cancer patients and their families across Scotland. It’s Good 2 Give provides regular and ad hoc support in partnership with hospitals and other organisations. In addition, It’s Good 2 Give created the Ripple Retreat, a purpose-built, restful place, on the shores of Loch Venachar. The Retreat allows some young cancer patients and their families to take a short break. It enables them to spend some much needed time away from doctors, procedures, and hospitals, in a safe and calming environment. 🌟 What a night at our Gala Ball on Saturday!

Together, you helped us raise an amazing £47,938.77 for young people with cancer and their families across Scotland!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated prizes, placed a bid and helped make the evening so special, including our wonderful volunteers. A huge thank you to our amazing hosts, Grant Stott and Tonya Macari, and to BLEEKER for keeping the dance floor full right up until midnight!

A special thank you to Carla and the Kerr family for all the time, care and hard work they put into making the ball happen. We’re so grateful.

Thank you to today's Corporate Volunteers from Scottish Water.

The sun shone, showcasing the Ripple Retreat at its very best. There was a great deal of camaraderie and hilarity throughout the day, proving that volunteering can be fun 😂

Weeds were removed, plants were dug out, gravel was raked, shoreline checked and tidied, outdoor furniture cleaned, items put into storage till next spring and much more.

As always, our shared lunch break around our huge table was lovely as we further discussed the many ways It's good 2 give is involved both in provision and support for young people with cancer and their families.

Thank you all, we cannot present this beautiful and important facility without you 🤗

🎄 Join us for an evening of festive wreath-making in support of young people with cancer and their families across Scotland.

Enjoy a glass of Prosecco on arrival, then create your own Christmas wreath with guidance from an experienced florist. All materials are included and beginners are very welcome!

There’ll also be a raffle for the chance to take home a Christmas hamper.

Our "regular" outdoor volunteers have worked so hard this year keeping our gardens looking fabulous, external property ship shape and our wildlife fed and kept healthy.

It was nice to see them all (minus Liz H who is on a beach in Rosshire) dressed up and out of their outdoor/ gardening attire for our end of season supper.

Lots of laughs and chat enhanced by great food. Being part of is both a privilege and a pleasure ❤️

🏉 What a fantastic night at Edinburgh Rugby’s opening fixture of the season against DHL Stormers!

Alongside a brilliant win for the team, you, the Edinburgh fans were incredibly generous and helped us raise an amazing £1,486 for young cancer patients and their families across Scotland.

A huge congratulations to our four raffle winners, and a massive thank you to everyone who donated, supported the event and helped make such a difference 💛

This week was possibly our busiest of the year at the Ripple Retreat with three family groups from the US volunteering with us, a visiting group of ladies from the Stirling Inner Wheel, contractor checks, regular gardening volunteers, our last community swim and a visit from our CEO Wendy.

Thank you to all and especially to those who helped us get the road re-opened after a tree decided to fall across it...all in a day's work!

🏉 Together, we’re on the Road to £100k!

Our incredible partners Edinburgh Rugby have already helped raise over £76,000 to support young cancer patients and their families across Scotland. Now, we’re aiming to reach £100,000 together by the end of the 2026/27 season!

Every donation helps us provide mental wellbeing support, specialist equipment to ease pain and anxiety during treatment, and stays at our Ripple Retreat, giving families time to rest and reconnect.

We’re so grateful to the players, staff and supporters who have helped us get this far, and we’d love you to be part of what comes next.

Coming to Hive Stadium this Friday for Edinburgh Rugby’s match against the DHL Stormers? Look out for our matchday raffle, with prizes including signed player shirts!
