📢 MEMBER NEWS

Fundraising tech startup Raiser has secured innovation funding from the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub alongside investment from former JustGiving adviser Daryl Upsall!

Daryl has also taken on the role of ambassador for Raiser, alongside former Winning Scotland chief executive Zahra Hedges, who has been appointed as an adviser, and philanthropy specialist Mark Carrigan, who has joined the board.

Rasier is developing an AI-enabled platform designed to make charitable funding more accessible and effective, connecting charities with suitable funders while reducing time spent on grant applications and admin.

📣 Member News - and this one's a double whammy!

CoCo - The Coworking Collective - Buxton is expanding its events programme, and has partnered with local AI strategist and fellow Buxton Business Club member John Farrell (aka. AI John!) to launch the new CoCo AI Hub.

Monthly skills-sharing sessions will help local professionals and business owners build their understanding of AI, explore practical ways to use it in their work, and share ideas and real-world experiences.

There'll also be an AI beginners drop-in every other week for anyone curious about how AI could support their business but unsure where to start.

Great to see two of our members collaborating to bring more learning and skills-sharing opportunities to Buxton's business community! 🤝

Member Spotlight 🌟

This week’s Member Spotlight is Katy Hedgcock, Creative Director at MC Graphic Design Studio.

Katy helps businesses across the UK build their brand through graphic design, website design, print management and high-quality printing solutions. It was great getting to know a bit more about the person behind the business too, from why she loves being based in Buxton to what she’s looking forward to next.

One thing that really stood out was Katy saying she’s naturally quite introverted and happiest behind the scenes bringing creative ideas to life. It just goes to show that every business owner has their own way of doing things, and that’s exactly what makes these Member Spotlight Q&As so interesting.
