Do you have family, a friend, neighbour or know anyone who would like to join Tideswell Tea Club on the second Tuesday of each month between 2pm and 4pm?
Tideswell Tea Club is a friendly group of ladies and gentlemen aged 65 and over who live in the parish of Tideswell (Litton, Cressbrook, Wormhill and Peak Dale) who meet for afternoon tea, companionship, laughter and “a change of scenery”, join in our Lucky Numbers and Heart Card Game.
Come along and join us, a homemade afternoon tea of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones & jam as well as cake.
Tea costs £7 and we are able to offer transport for the less mobile guests on a local community bus.

Another wonderful afternoon. We had our monthly visit from PCSO Anthony Boswell and PCSO Ruby King .
Our £10 raffle was won by Kath Anderson.
We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month , please do contact us should you wish to join us. A mini bus is allocated too to those who need transport.

 February Weather

February sulks its shadow over moorland, marsh and meadow.
Dreary drizzle unabating, then there's weather worse awaiting:
Fog and frost and soft snow drifted deep in heaps that can't be shifted,rain that pours for hours and hours putting paid to plants and flowers,
Howling wind and gusting gale,
Slushy sleet and hammering hail.
Hopefully this woeful weather has to pass, not last for ever. On a brighter note, a thought: Just be thankful February's short.

The winter sun, a pale cold glint.
The world is hushed in iron Frost.
With old year shadows finally lost.
