This Earth Day, let’s turn awareness into action 🌍✨

The planet is cared for through the choices we make each day. From switching off and reconnecting, to picking up litter, choosing kinder products, going plastic free, and giving old items a new purpose — small, mindful steps can create meaningful change.

Here are 5 simple ways to celebrate Earth Day:

1.⁠ ⁠No tech hour — switch off phones, TV, and electronics for an hour. Spend time with family or reconnect with nature.
2.⁠ ⁠5-minute litter pick — collect as much litter as you can around your neighbourhood in just 5 minutes.
3.⁠ ⁠Use earth-friendly cleaning products — check what you already have, then choose more planet-friendly alternatives.
4.⁠ ⁠Go plastic free — avoid single-use plastic wherever possible.

SRLC Manchester is delighted to share that we donated 300 Easter treats to Ashgate School, Springhill Hospice, and Francis Hospice, supporting children with special needs and those with life-limiting conditions. Bringing smiles to these incredible children and their families means so much to us, and we are truly grateful to play a small part in spreading joy this Easter season.

SRLC Manchester joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day with our cherished senior citizens.

The day was filled with delicious food, creative crafts, fun games, and most importantly, beautiful smiles.

It was heart-warming to spend time with such inspiring mothers and grandmothers who have given so much love to their families and communities.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this charity event a joyful and memorable celebration.

🌸 International Women’s Day Celebration 🌸

SRLC Manchester had the pleasure of celebrating Women’s Day at the Little Sisters of the Poor Care Home.

The event was supported by Royal London volunteers, who joined SRLC volunteers to make the day special. 🤝

It was a wonderful, heartwarming celebration filled with Indian food, games, and songs, bringing smiles and joy to the residents. 🎶🍛

As part of the visit, Royal London also donated non-perishable food items, including tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, fruit, juice, crisps, and chocolates to support the home and its residents.

It was truly a meaningful time to celebrate and appreciate the strength, wisdom, and lives of these amazing people.

Thank you to everyone who supported and contributed to making this day memorable. 💜
