Our Trustee Director and fundraising volunteer, Ronnie and his wife, Philippa, received an exciting invitation to the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, which they attended last week. πŸ’‚πŸ‘‘

They share what happened at the event, from the King arriving and greeting people to getting the chance to speak to the Princess Royal, Princess Anne.

This magical event is something they will never forget and they are proud to have been invited, after being nominated by The Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, for the incredible voluntary work they have done for the Workshop over the last 11 years. πŸ™Œ

πŸ’š Mental Health Awareness Week πŸ’š

At Watford Workshop, we see every day how meaningful work, friendship and routine can positively impact mental wellbeing.

For many of the adults we support, having a safe and inclusive place to learn new skills, build confidence and connect with others makes a real difference to their mental health and overall wellbeing.

πŸŽ‰ Good luck, Jamie! πŸŽ‰

This week, we’re celebrating Jamie as he takes the next exciting step in his journey into mainstream employment with Wenzel’s Bakery! πŸ₯

Jamie joined Watford Workshop in November 2021 and has grown so much in confidence during his time with us. He’s proven himself to be hardworking, reliable and a valued member of our community. πŸ’›

With support from our fantastic partners at Wenzel's the Bakers, Jamie has been working in their wrapping room, labelling and preparing products β€” and is now continuing his journey with them, building his skills and independence even further.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything Jamie has achieved and are so pleased to see him thriving. πŸ‘

Please join us in wishing Jamie all the best for the future! 🌟
