Our headlines are inundated with stories of abuse and exploitation.

The shocking case from Cornell University is deeply disturbing, and demonstrates how the silence of observers, hidden behind a phone screen, can become compliance with abuse itself.

At Dignify, our vision is to normalise healthy and open conversations about relationships, p**nography and objectification.

Children need to grow up understanding consent, boundaries, respect and healthy relationships. They need to know what abuse looks like, how to challenge harmful behaviour, and why being a bystander is not neutrality.

We need to raise children better. We need to change the narrative so that another Cornell 7 never exists.

That means talking early and openly about consent, the bystander effect, p**nography and the ways objectification can become normalised.

Parents, schools and universities need to take this as a wake-up call... in the US and beyond. Misogyny and violence against women and girls remain rampant. The fight is not over.

We need to keep talking about abuse. About consent. About p**nography.

Because silence on abuse fuels abuse. Conversation, education and action can help stop it.

This is why we do what we do.

Over the past two weeks, we've shared the impact of five workshops delivered to a group of Year 9 students. We've seen students grow in confidence to challenge unhealthy norms, identify healthy relationships, recognise grooming, understand online harms, and take action against s*xual harassment.

All of this points to one thing: education works.

At Dignify, our vision is to see children thriving in healthy relationships, free from the harms of p**nography and s*xual objectification. But young people cannot navigate these challenges if they're never given the opportunity to understand them.

Following five workshops delivered in July, 100% of students said they had grown in their understanding of the harmful impact p**nography can have.

Impacts such as the normalisation of harmful and violent behaviours, distorted expectations of relationships, unrealistic body standards, the abuse of women, the erosion of healthy understandings of consent, addiction, and the exploitation that can exist behind the content being consumed.

That doesn't mean every problem is solved.

But it does mean that every student left with greater awareness, greater understanding, and a stronger foundation for making informed choices in the future.

And that's why this statistic matters.

Because if one cohort of students can leave better informed, better equipped, and more confident to think critically about what they see, imagine what could happen if every young person had the same opportunity.

Maybe that's how real change happens.

One conversation at a time. One workshop at a time. One school at a time.
And maybe that's how we move closer to our vision of seeing children thrive in healthy relationships, free from the harms of p**nography and s*xual objectification.

The digital world is evolving rapidly, and for many of us it's hard to keep up.

It's all too easy to share a funny video with friends before realising it was AI-generated and you've been fooled. Those moments might be harmless, but the rise of deepfake n*de images is a very different story. This technology is being used in ways that can cause real harm, and young people are increasingly being affected.

That's why education matters.

In July, Dignify delivered five workshops to a group of Year 9 students, including sessions on deepfakes and n**e image sharing. Afterwards, 94% said they had grown in their understanding of deepfakes, n*de image sharing, and the harms they can cause.

That represents a whole cohort of students who are better equipped to recognise the problem, understand its impact, and know where to seek help if they encounter it.

As technology continues to develop, young people need more than awareness. They need the confidence and critical thinking skills to navigate an increasingly complex digital world safely and responsibly.

We want to see this statistic replicated across schools nationwide. Every young person deserves the knowledge to recognise abuse, challenge harmful online behaviours, and understand that the misuse of someone's image is never acceptable.

Because when technology evolves, education must evolve too.

Could you confidently identify the signs of a healthy or unhealthy relationship when you were 13?

For many adults, that's a skill they've had to learn later in life. Without understanding the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships, harmful behaviours can go unnoticed, unhealthy dynamics can become normalised, and abuse can be harder to recognise.

That's why relationship education matters.

In July, Dignify delivered five workshops to a group of Year 9 students. Afterwards, 93% said they felt more confident identifying whether a relationship is healthy or unhealthy.

That's more than 9 in 10 young people who feel better equipped to recognise the difference between respect and control, kindness and manipulation, healthy behaviour and harmful behaviour.

Whether in friendships, family relationships, future romantic relationships or the workplace, these lessons can have a lasting impact. By helping young people understand their worth and what healthy treatment looks like, we're equipping them to build stronger, safer relationships throughout their lives.

As a new academic year begins, we're looking forward to partnering with more schools that are passionate about helping students thrive. For many adults, understanding concepts like grooming, gaslighting and love-bombing is a relatively recent development. Few were given the tools to recognise these behaviours when they were at school, even though that knowledge could have made a huge difference.

Today, things can be different.

Through Dignify's workshops, young people are learning how to recognise the signs of grooming, understand the risks of exploitation, and respond safely and confidently when something isn't right.

In July, we delivered five workshops to a group of Year 9 students. Afterwards, 93% said they felt more confident in spotting the signs of grooming and responding appropriately.

That's more than 9 in 10 students who feel better equipped to identify potentially harmful behaviour and seek support when needed.

That's not just a statistic. It's evidence that education is helping young people recognise abuse before it escalates.

If we want a future where fewer young people experience exploitation, prevention must be part of the conversation.

93% of Year 9 students who took part in five Dignify workshops told us they now feel more confident to challenge unhealthy social norms such as objectification and s*xualisation.

These are the kinds of good-news stories we want filling our social media feeds.

When we empower young people to question and challenge harmful norms, we're helping to equip the next generation to live, work and lead differently. When we remind children that they have intrinsic worth and deserve better than the messages they may encounter online, we're helping to raise a generation that can break patterns that have been accepted for far too long.

If we want to build a safer future, we need to start with the people who will shape it.

And the evidence suggests it's working. Step by step. Workshop by workshop. Conversation by conversation.

As we prepare for a new academic year, we're excited to continue partnering with schools, parents and communities to help more young people develop the confidence and skills they need to create positive change.

Education is at the heart of everything we do at Dignify.

This statistic comes from feedback we received after delivering five workshops to Year 9 students in July. An incredible 99% of students told us they feel more confident to report s*xual harassment and take action to reduce it amongst their peers.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing more insights from this cohort and exploring the difference preventative education can make.

The message is simple: high-quality education on s*xual harassment, healthy relationships and online harms is making a positive impact. When young people are given the knowledge, language and confidence to respond to harmful behaviours, they are better equipped to create safer school communities.

Either our admin has run out of content ideas... or some things really are that simple.

P**n doesn't reflect real, healthy relationships.

It presents a distorted picture of s*x, intimacy, bodies, consent, and relationships. Yet for many young people, it's a source of information and education.

That's a problem.

At Dignify, we help young people think critically about the messages they encounter online and build a healthier understanding of relationships.
