Today is Global Day of Parents! To parents and carers across the world — THANK YOU for everything you do.

At Dignify, our vision is to see every child thriving in healthy relationships, free from the harms of p**nography and s*xual objectification. We work with children, teachers, policymakers and other key stakeholders to make this vision a reality. But this vision could never truly happen without parents.

Parents have the unique opportunity to:
- 🌱Be a safe space for children to learn, make mistakes and grow
- 🫶Model healthy relationships online and offline
- 💬Normalise open conversations about s*x and relationships
- 📱Build healthy digital habits and boundaries
- 💪Raise digitally resilient children

Schools are phenomenal, and policy change is essential — but true, holistic transformation depends on the dedication of parents and carers who want to see their children thrive.

So today, we celebrate you. Thank you, parents.

Parents are now twice as concerned about children's online safety than their physical health.

Dignify were pleased to sign an open letter just released by The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) that shared the latest research conducted by OnePoll, which indicates that the mental health impact of harmful online content is now the top concern for UK parents regarding child development.

At Dignify we are working to champion children to thrive in healthy relationships both online and offline. We deliver workshops with parents, carers, children and teachers to educate on online harms and healthy digital lifestyles.

Children are exposed on a daily basis to an overwhelming amount of content and online stimulus, the vast amount of which can be harmful.

We proudly support the recommendations in this letter that seek to ensure that social media platforms are held to the same rigorous content standards as expected in UK cinemas. Children deserve protection that is consistent and holds platforms thoroughly to account.

Simple post. Simple truth.

Children deserve healthy relationships. From romantic relationships grounded in consent and respect, to friendships that make space for emotional vulnerability and welcome differing opinions. They deserve it. It’s as simple as that.

At Dignify, we work in schools across the UK to help children understand what healthy relationships look and feel like. Through workshops from Year 5 to Year 13, we deliver age‑appropriate sessions on everything from self‑worth to topics like love‑bombing and gaslighting for older students.

To learn more about our work, visit dignify.org or email [email protected] to start the conversation.

What do we do? We get asked that a lot!

We put together a booklet that gives a clear overview of the work we do. It’s been so popular that we knew it needed to be on social media too.

Yes, there are a lot of words… but that’s because we do a LOT of exciting things! Have a swipe through and see what catches your eye.👀

Maybe you’re a parent looking for resources about the digital world, or a headteacher wanting to upskill your staff. Whatever you need, we’re here to help.

Still thinking about Sunday 🏅🏃‍♂️🏙️

We were so grateful to have had 4 incredible runners taking part in the London Marathon for : Martyn, Shaun, Bethany and Leah.

They battled through months of training, injuries (both before and on the day!), and a hot sunny race day in London to support the work that we are doing.

The money you donate to cheer them on helps us keep supporting young people across the UK, through our surveys, workshops, teacher training, parent workshops and more. We are so thankful.

Donations are still accepted for the next month. Please donate via the link in our bio and bless these runners with a bonus “well done”!

Thank you so much.

Hey. Let’s talk.

Addiction is not something we want children growing up with — whether it’s alcohol, drugs, or other harmful habits.

And p**n use is one of them.

P*rnography addiction is a serious mental‑health concern. It shapes how children and young people come to understand relationships, consent, and self‑worth. It also carries real health risks.

Compulsive p**n use has been linked to p**n‑induced erectile dysfunction (PIED) in males, caused by desensitisation of the brain’s reward system. People of any gender may also experience disrupted sleep, heightened stress, hormonal imbalance, and reduced physical activity linked to excessive screen use and compulsive behaviour. Repeated exposure to violent or degrading content can also normalise aggression within intimacy, increasing the risk of harmful or coercive behaviours later in life.

Through our School Survey, we are seeing the impact first‑hand. Many children are already struggling with addiction. Each week, we read responses from young people describing how it affects their minds, their relationships, and even their ability to concentrate and learn at school.

This is not what we want for our children.

We want them thriving in healthy relationships — not bound by addiction.

That conviction is what drives us to keep speaking out about p**n.

So where are they learning from?

For many children, social media and p**nography are where they are turning for education on s*x and relationships. Spaces that perpetuate unrealistic standards and normalise violence.

Parents - we are here for you. We recognise that you're in a unique position to be able to shape your children's understanding about healthy relationships and s*x in a positive and non-judgemental way. But we also know those conversations can be terrifying! Our Dignify Parent Guide is a free resource available at parents.dignify.org, designed to help you as a parent navigate these conversations, from age 0-18!
