BADFA

BADFA Bushey and District Footpaths Association (BADFA) help provide paths, improve paths, and look after We get involved in all aspects of path work.

We AIM

· To help provide paths, improve paths, and look after paths in an area centred on Bushey but extending widely around.

· To keep records of the paths and the flowers and animals near them

· To explore their history

· To help people understand what can and what can’t be done to paths

· And to encourage their use by organising walks and rides. We have drafted and pursued dedicatio

ns of new paths, also of diversions where there is substantial public gain. We have held meetings, arranged walks, published maps, produced newsletters, put up signposts, done clearance and improvement work such as stile to gate, or gap, replacement. We take a broad view of paths and get involved with bridleways, cycleways and byways as well as footpaths.

Some images of the walk on 18th May led by Peter with 10 walkers. Starting from Warwick Avenue walking along Regent’s Canal, visiting the viewpoint on Primrose Hill and then a wander round The Regent’s Park and gardens before returning via Primrose Hill to Chalk Farm and back to Bushey. Apparently the heron often stands on the grass close to people.

Next BADFA walk: Sunday 12th January Leavesden Country Park. See badfa.org.uk for details.
