Along with our 56 guinea pigs, we wanted to say a big thank you to everyone's response to our ask for donations to help with their care.

We received so many grid sets, bedding, enrichment, food and treats we've been able to set up everything we needed to ensure all 56 pigs (now 68 with births) have what they need. This has including splitting quite a few of the males and shrinking down female groups for the ones confirmed pregnant.

As you can hopefully see from the photos they have great set ups and we've been able to make the best use of all the space we have for them ☺️

To start off a new week we wanted to share with you the story of Mabel and Dave 🐰🐰💙

These two buns came to us from different homes but ended up needing each other as neither had companions. Dave had sadly lost his and Mabel had been returned to another Blue Cross centre twice for failed bondings in new homes 😔

We had tried to bond Mabel with another rabbit here but unfortunately that hadn't worked either. Just when we were beginning to wonder what we would do for this lady Dave also was in need of a new friend.

We started the process of bonding this lovely pair and as you can see it was successful 🎉

As you probably know, Rabbits are incredibly social animals and have to have companionship of their own kind to ensure their weflare needs are met and to have finally found a forever friend for Mabel after so many failed attempts and all the stress this would of caused her was a huge achievement!!

Things then got even better for Mabel and Dave and at the start of May, after 65 days, these guys went to their new home 👏🏻🏡 the last 3 photos are of these guys exploring their new digs and it looks like they approve 😄

We hope you have enjoyed this good news story and we are sure join us in wishing these pair of rabbits all the best in their second (or in Mabel's case 4th!) fresh start 💙

She's been with us for 60 days and hasn't had much interested from rehomers 😞 and those lovely people that have cant rehome her soon due to upcoming holidays, so shes has some real bad luck and she'd like to tell you about why she deserves a few more people looking at her profile!

She also loves a fuss ✅️
But she's also pretty chill 😎
She can live with school age kids ✅️

Beryl is in her “learning the world isn’t scary anymore” era 🥺🤍

She was initially rescued by RSPCA - underweight, nervous, and with a foal at foot at such a young age. She then made her way to our care in November last year and is slowly discovering that people can actually feel safe to be around

After coming into Blue Cross care following a difficult start in life, Panda has slowly begun to show everyone the gentle, loving pony she truly is. At just 9 years old, this beautiful piebald cob mare is learning that people can be kind, patient, and safe. 🌱✨

Panda may be shy with new faces at first, but once she forms a bond, she tries so hard to please. She loves quiet reassurance, scratches, and calm handling -watching her confidence grow is something really special. 🥹💕

She’s looking for a peaceful home where she can continue blossoming at her own pace. A home filled with patience, understanding, and someone willing to see the incredible pony hidden beneath her nervous moments. 🏡🐴

Panda doesn’t need perfection… she just needs someone to believe in her. ❤️
