The Orchard - Buckfastleigh

Welcome to The Orchard, Buckfastleigh. Also known as The Orchard Millennium Green Trust.

22/10/2026

We have just completed two days of essential tree maintenance.

A big thank you to Niklas and team from Andersson Tree Care for your hard work this week.

You will notice that we have had to remove one of the Ash trees from beside the river. This tree was suffering from ash-dieback and needed to be removed to protect other ash trees and to prevent it from becoming a danger to the public.

A reminder that the Orchard Millennium Green is NOT maintained by either Teignbridge or Devon councils. It is administered by a small team of volunteers who raise funds to keep the park safe and open for the public.

This coming year is going to require a considerable financial commitment so if anyone is good at fundraising or knows of a philanthropist please let us know.

We, the trustees, are committed to keeping this essential green space open, beautiful and accessible. Enjoy!
