Join us this Saturday for a Bioblitz at the Broadford Community Woodland! All welcome - we will have expert naturalists on site and will endeavour to record as many species as we can, from the biggest birds down to the tiniest ants!

Kick off at 10:30am at the Growers Hub with a look through the moth traps with Phil before exploring the different habitats. We have so few biological records from the woodland site - come along and make a real difference, and learn from the experts! We will be here until around 3pm, light snacks and refreshments provided.

Please note this event is weather permitting - please double check on our page on Friday evening. All children must be supervised when on site. All queries to [email protected]

Happy Tuesdays! The Flourish Together team have been having a busy old time recently. We all leant how to make willow woven pea climbers and a trellis fence under the expert guidance of Ilona to whom we give huge thanks. We have started harvesting courgettes, cucumbers, mangetouts, lettuce, beetroot and herbs to share with families and friends. Finally we have started to build new planters, obtained thanks to a grant from the Gardening for Disabilities trust and of course ongoing support from Broadford and Strath Community Company. Thanks all 🪴

Lots of hard work goes into community spaces, and today we remembered a valued member of our community, Stan Donaldson. Many moons ago, Stan played a key role in establishing our amazing community garden, helping to turn a shared vision into reality.

This seat in the garden commemorates Stan’s dedication and the hard work he put into getting the project up and running.

Recently, our community garden team tidied an older area of the garden and relocated the bench to its new home. We hope it will provide a place for many people to sit, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the garden for many years to come.

Thank you, Stan, for the lasting legacy you left for our community. 🌿🌼💚

Could you make a difference to young people in South Skye?

Broadford Youth Club is looking for two Youth Workers to help us support, encourage and create opportunities for local young people aged 12–25.

This is a paid, part-time role with flexible hours, training provided, and the chance to be part of something genuinely important in the community. The role includes helping to run youth club sessions, planning activities, supporting young people, and working with volunteers and local partners.

Broadford Youth Club has recently become a registered SCIO charity, and we’ve also secured funding to launch a new dodgeball team for local young people. We now need the right people to help us keep building momentum.

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher or have decades of experience. We’re looking for people with common sense, reliability, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping young people thrive.

Youth Worker roles available
£18 per hour
Up to 10 hours per week
