NEW FOR 2026!

This year, Victoria Gardens will be the heart of the action, with food stalls, seating and music from 1pm.

Come along, soak up the atmosphere, grab a drink from the pubs and something to eat from the stalls, and enjoy watching the chaos, and sheer foolishness of the Pram Race!

In a bid to reduce single-use plastics, we're also introducing a refundable cup deposit scheme. Simply return your cup to receive your deposit back or keep the cup as a souvenir (88p from each sale goes towards the Brightlingsea Late Night Shopping pot).

Don’t miss out on the chaos of Brightlingsea Pram Race! 🏁

As predicted, entries have already overtaken last year’s numbers, so for safety reasons we’ll be limiting the number of teams able to enter.

If you’ve been thinking about signing up but haven’t got round to it yet, we urge you to do it sooner rather than later. Once we reach capacity, we won’t be able to accept any more entries!
