🎶✨ A Wonderful Vintage Musical Afternoon at Jubilee Lodge ✨🎶

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of music and nostalgia as the wonderful Amanda Jane entertained us with her beautiful vintage singing performance.

From timeless classics to much-loved favourites, Amanda's warm vocals had everyone singing along, tapping their feet, and reminiscing about cherished memories. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces and residents joining in with the songs they know and love.

A huge thank you to Amanda Jane for bringing such joy, energy, and wonderful entertainment to Jubilee Lodge. We look forward to welcoming her back again soon!

⚽ Today at Jubilee, we welcomed our very own little football star as Eva and her daughter joined us for a fun-filled afternoon of football!

Residents enjoyed a friendly kickabout in the garden, sharing plenty of laughter and team spirit along the way. Afterwards, we relaxed with a traditional afternoon tea of tea and scones, which of course sparked the age-old debate, cream first or jam first? 🍓☕🥐

To add to the excitement, we held a mini sweepstake to predict which teams will make it through to the finals. There were lots of opinions, plenty of friendly competition, and great conversations throughout the day.

A wonderful afternoon bringing generations together through sport, friendship, and a little bit of football fever! ⚽❤️

✨ A Magical Afternoon at Jubilee Lodge ✨

Our residents were treated to a truly wonderful magic show by the talented David Ible. 🎩✨

From mind-boggling tricks to plenty of laughter and audience participation, David had everyone amazed and entertained throughout the performance. It was fantastic to see so many smiles, laughter, and expressions of wonder as the magic unfolded before our eyes.

A huge thank you to David for bringing such joy and excitement to Jubilee Lodge. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are still talking about their favourite tricks! 😊

Jubilee Lodge Blue Light Breakfast! 💙

We’re opening our doors to all emergency service workers on the last Friday of every month from 07:30am – 10:30am.

This is our way of saying thank you to district nurses, carers, social workers, pharmacy teams, and all Blue Light professionals for the incredible work you do. 💙

Enjoy a well-earned breakfast and coffee, including bacon, sausage, hash brown, and egg butties, with a vegetarian option also available. ☕

As part of Dementia Action Week, four of our lovely residents enjoyed a wonderful day out at "Steam at Stanway" following one gentleman's special request. 🚂💙

Trips like these are so important for promoting wellbeing, encouraging social interaction, and helping our residents stay connected with the local community while creating special memories together.

The residents had a fantastic time exploring the steam engines, taking in the atmosphere, and enjoying a lovely day out. 😊

Steam at Stanway is running until 25th May, so there’s still time to visit and enjoy this wonderful event for yourself!

Jubilee Lodges resident flamingo has been off on tour this weekend with our manager, Rebecca. 🦩✨

When she's not managing the lodge, Rebecca spends her time fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support, and this weekends big adventure took the them to the Tewkesbury Big Weekend.

We think the flamingo enjoyed the trip just as much as Rebecca did! 🦩✨

Today at Jubilee, our residents and team are celebrating the 100th birthday of the wonderful Sir David Attenborough! 🦁🌿

We’ll be dressing as animals, sharing smiles and memories, and celebrating Sir David’s incredible contribution to the natural world and generations of storytelling.

A special thank you to our nurse, Emily Steer, who wrote a beautiful poem in tribute to Sir David, which we are proud to share alongside this post 💚

Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough, and thank you for inspiring us all.
